Lily' Alıntı:
I have mentioned already that the way you have brought up Datvi, might well be a new beginning in the treatment of orphaned baby bears. Also, I can't see anything wrong in bringing up a helpless babybear in an emotional rather than a scientific way, as Hüseyin wrote reproachfully. In fact I believe that the world would be a much better place to live in, if it were not dealed with in a scientific way most of the time.
Dear Lily,
Looking after of orphan baby bears emotionally is just no more than making them dependent on human and behaving like "toys", in my opinion. If we again talk about the habituation of Datvi in good or bad manner again, we just go to the beginning of the problem, with no any resolution and discussion. I don't think anybody, even Cemal, thinks that habituation of a wild life animal is right. Cemal said that "I am a photographer and I did my best knowledge". But what he did is just the beginning of habituation of Datvi as well as being dependent on humans. The right thing is the looking after of baby bears without any contact with human being in first two years of their lifes and then leaving of them to the forests to make them live FREELY. An emotional looking after method is not good as an alternative way since it makes the bears dependent on humans. Bears should live like bears, they should live freely. They should not depend on human. The one looked after Datvi somehow and said "I did it to the best of my knowledge", and let's not present this as an alternative method, in order not to inform others in a wrong way.
Best Regards
