We took the most recognized definite 4x4 vehicle capable of traversing extremes of terrain - the new Land Rover Defender 110, featuring the new and efficient four cylinder 2,4 liter EURO 4 Diesel engine, and the newly designed 6 gear transmission. This icon was then further modified to “an ISAK” with big 38” tyres for increased flotation, ideal for driving on snow and glaciers as well as matching with every tough highland trail Iceland has to offer. Also the gear ratio of the axle differentials has been converted for compensation of the bigger tyres, resulting in moderate fuel consumption despite these changes, or 12 - 15 litres/100kms in general.
